We classify reported corrections into three distinct tiers: (Tier 1 - Critical Safety & Legal): Trail washouts, high-pass closures, permit price or regulation changes, border checkpoint closures, airline hub relocations, or emergency protocol updates; (Tier 2 - Operational & Logistics): Teahouse pricing shifts, transport timetable changes, newly opened roadheads, seasonal lodge closures; (Tier 3 - Editorial & Stylistic): Typographical fixes, minor formatting improvements, or broken external link updates.

## 2. Rapid Response SLAs (Service Level Agreements)

Tier 1 (Safety/Permit) corrections are investigated and updated within 24 to 48 hours of notification. Our Kathmandu field desk immediately cross-checks the report with local park checkpoints, airline desks, or government ministries.

Tier 2 (Logistics) updates are processed within 3 to 5 business days. Tier 3 edits are incorporated during regular weekly maintenance cycles.

- Tier 2 (Logistics & Costs): 3–5 business days turnaround with operator/teahouse confirmation.

## 3. How to Submit a Correction Report

Please include: (1) The specific URL; (2) The exact sentence or data point in question; (3) The date the discrepancy was observed; (4) Supporting evidence (such as a photo of an official notice, permit receipt, government gazette link, or airline notification); (5) The practical traveler decision affected.

Do not send passwords, passport scans, payment details or full medical records in a correction request.

## 4. Verification and Evidence Standards

The editorial team starts with the organisation responsible for the claim, then checks date, scope, nationality, route version and exceptions. If the evidence is incomplete, the safer outcome is qualification or removal rather than a new guess. A reader report is not treated as verified fact until checked against authoritative records.

## 5. Public Transparency and Change Logging
