Second acclimatization base
Dingboche is a broad, wind-exposed settlement at about 4,410 m. Most standard itineraries spend a second night here before Lobuche. The extra night is a safety feature, not empty time: it allows a controlled daytime hike and a lower-risk sleeping-altitude progression.
