# Renjo La Pass Guide: Route, Altitude and Three Passes Planning

Renjo La connects the Gokyo Valley with the Thame Valley and is one of the Everest Three Passes. It offers outstanding views but requires high-altitude fitness, route knowledge, suitable conditions and a flexible plan.

## Renjo La and the Gokyo–Thame side

Renjo La is the western high pass of the Three Passes circuit, connecting the Gokyo valley with the Thame side of the Khumbu. It is chosen for a circuit experience and broad high-mountain views, not as a quick shortcut to Base Camp.

The pass can be affected by snow, wind and visibility. Confirm the crossing plan with the guide in Namche or Gokyo, when recent local information is more useful than a fixed seasonal promise.
