The classic Lower Mustang ride runs through the Kali Gandaki canyon up to the sacred shrine of Muktinath (3,710 m). It is paved to Beni, transitioning to rough gravel, water crossings, and windy high-altitude mountain tracks.

- Acclimatise at Jomsom (2,720 m) before ascending to Muktinath (3,710 m).

- Afternoon winds in the Kali Gandaki gorge exceed 40 km/h; plan morning riding windows.

- Check ACAP 許可証 at Birethanti and Jomsom checkpoints.

Crossing passes over 4,000 m like Nyi La and visiting Kora La at 4,660 m require gradual acclimatisation. Schedule the itinerary with overnight stops below 3,900 m and maintain oxygen on the support vehicle for acute mountain sickness (AMS) mitigation.
