# Accommodation, Food, Wi-Fi and Showers on the Manaslu Circuit

Expect simple twin rooms, shared toilets and lodge dining rooms. Facilities are broadest in lower villages and become basic above Samagaun. Dharamsala has limited beds, food, charging and water, so guides normally coordinate space and meals early.

**Teahouses**Standard lodging

**Twin rooms**Common setup

**Cash only**Practical rule

**Very basic**Dharamsala

## Rooms and bedding

Rooms are usually unheated with two simple beds. Carry a suitable sleeping bag even when blankets are available. Attached bathrooms are uncommon above the lower route, and freezing can affect taps and toilets.

## Meals and dietary needs

Dal bhat, noodles, rice, potatoes, soups, eggs, porridge and simple bread breakfasts are common. Order early in busy lodges and explain allergies clearly in simple terms. Avoid meat that may have been carried unrefrigerated for several days.

## Charging, connectivity and showers

Charging and Wi-Fi are paid services and may be slow or unavailable. Hot showers depend on gas, solar heat and water. A power bank and offline itinerary, map, insurance and contacts are more dependable than continuous connectivity.

## Expect the facilities to change by village

Lower villages offer more lodge choice, charging and food variety. As the route climbs toward Samagaun and Dharamsala, rooms, water, power and meal choices become more limited. The same package label can hide a large difference between a lower-night lodge and a high camp.

Carry a sleeping bag, headlamp, power bank, personal medication and a small snack reserve. Ask the guide when rooms are allocated and how the group will respond if Dharamsala is full or a stage ends late.

- Order dinner early when the lodge is busy.

- Explain allergies and dietary limits before the kitchen starts cooking.

- Keep cash and offline contacts because charging and connectivity can fail.

## Lodges & food in your plan

Before you book or set out for lodges & food, keep these details visible in the plan: Standard lodging: Teahouses; Common setup: Twin rooms; Practical rule: Cash only; Dharamsala: Very basic

Use these details to decide whether the place or activity belongs in your trip. For Lodges & food, a useful plan names the time, transport, facilities and fallback instead of relying on a broad destination label.

- Check the current access and opening information close to departure.

- Carry the items that would be difficult to replace on the route.

- Leave enough daylight and recovery time to enjoy the stop without rushing it.

## Make the visit work in real conditions

For lodges & food, check how you will arrive, how long the visit takes, what facilities are available and what you will do if weather, traffic or a late transfer changes the day. The practical details often matter more than adding another attraction.

Keep the plan flexible enough to enjoy the main experience without rushing. For Lodges & food, confirm current access and opening information, carry a small comfort and payment reserve, and ask a local guide when a cultural or environmental rule is unclear.

- Confirm the current access and arrival point.

- Leave daylight for the walk back or onward transfer.

- Respect local homes, religious spaces, people and natural areas.
