Nepal Tourism Board’s current TIMS page also lists Manaslu among routes requiring a licensed guide and an agency-issued TIMS card. TIMS is separate and does not replace any of them. ## Current Manaslu Restricted Area Permit fees The current Immigration and Nepal Tourism Board tables list USD 100 per person for the first week from September through November, then USD 15 per day beyond the first week. From December through August, the first week is USD 75, followed by USD 10 per day beyond the first week. The circuit normally enters both MCAP and ACAP, so budget one selected permit for each area. NTNC says children below 10 do not need its conservation-area permit; ask separately how the RAP and TIMS rules apply to a child. - Online payment adds a 2.9% gateway charge. - The conservation permit is single-entry, non-transferable and non-refundable. - Carry the permit for the full trip and keep a digital copy offline. ## Guide, agency and TIMS requirements Nepal Tourism Board’s current TIMS page names Manaslu Circuit, Manaslu–Tsum Valley and Tsum Valley among routes where trekkers need a licensed guide and an agency-issued TIMS card. It lists current TIMS charges as NPR 2,000 for other nationals and NPR 1,000 for SAARC applicants. - Use a government-registered Nepal trekking agency for the guide, TIMS and restricted-area application. - Do not accept a universal minimum group-size claim unless the agency can show the current rule used for your application. - Confirm whether the quotation includes guide, TIMS, RAP processing and both conservation permits. ## Tsum Valley needs a separate check The NTB table lists a separate Tsum permit: USD 40 per person for the first week from September through November, then USD 7 per day; USD 30 for the first week from December through August, then USD 7 per day. Tsum needs its own route plan and is not automatically covered by the Manaslu RAP. ## Documents and last verification The agency will confirm the final checklist, but applications commonly need a passport copy, Nepal visa details, recent photograph, entry and exit dates, route and overnight plan, traveller names, emergency contact and insurance information where requested.
