Send a clear passport scan, valid Nepal visa details when available, photograph, insurance information and exact route early. Conservation permits can process quickly, but the RAP, group arrangement and corrections should not be left until the departure morning.

Private versus group departure
Private departures give date and pacing control but cost more per person. A genuine group departure can reduce shared guide and transport cost; confirm group size, fitness expectations and what happens if one traveller withdraws before the RAP is issued.
International flights and contingency nights
Arrive in Kathmandu early enough for briefing, gear changes and permit corrections. After the trek, keep at least two nights before an international flight. Road damage, illness or a closed pass can consume the published buffer.
Last-minute bookings
A last-minute trek may work when a real group, guide, permits, transport and high lodges align. Do not accept fictitious permit partners, unlicensed staff or a shortened acclimatisation plan simply to keep a flight date.
