Foreign visitors should plan around an authorized arrangement, a Tibet Travel Permit, nationality-specific China entry requirements and a route that can change when access, weather or health changes. Lhasa is already high; the practical question is not only what you want to see, but where you sleep before and after each road stage. ### Choose the route before adding sights A short Lhasa visit, a central-Tibet circuit, a Tibet-side Everest journey and a Nepal–Tibet overland crossing are different products.
